Norwegians live by the saying: "There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes." Oslopolitans stay active all year 'round, enjoying the city and natural surroundings.

Oslo's average temperatures vary widely by season, ranging from a daytime high of around 22° C (72° F) in mid-summer to a low of -2° C (28° F) in the winter.

Oslo is a very compact capital with lots of activities to offer, whether you are interested in concerts, museums, wine bars, or hiking trails. You can cross the city easily by foot, bike /scooter share or public transportation (tram, metro, train, bus, or ferry).

98 percent of the population live closer than 300 meters to a green area.Parks and open spaces are an integral part of the landscape.

At work, most people dress comfortably. A few essential items you'll want to have on hand are: a hooded windbreaker, a snug wool sweater, and comfortable shoes for the season. It is easy to find quality seasonal clothes in the city when you arrive.
