The job market in Oslo is competitive. English is more commonly used as the working language at tech startups and in industries such as health and life sciences, ICT, maritime, energy and academia.

A few of the main job boards in Norway are finn.no and Arbeidsplassen at NAV. Industry hubs often have their own job boards, such as Norway Health Tech and The Life Science Cluster. For more job boards, recruiters and resources, visit the Work section of Oslopolitan.

While most Norwegians speak English proficiently, you will have a distinct advantage in the job market if you start learning Norwegian, even at a basic conversational level.
