Team Norway won silver in Bocuse D'or 2023!

Norway continues to showcase it's excellence in culinary competition Bocuse D'or, held this year in Lyon, France. Congrats chef Filip August Bendi!

Team Norway brought home a silver medal in the prestigious international cooking competition, Bocuse d'Or 2023. The competition, often referred to as the Chefs' World Cup, is considered one of the most rewarding among chefs.

Norwegian chef, Filip August Bendi, led the team to their successful finish, with a total of 1971 points.

The 2023 Bocuse D'or competition, which was held in Lyon, France, saw 24 countries competing for the top spot. Denmark took home the gold with 2076 points, while Hungary came in third with 1955 points.

Bendi, who usually work as creative developer at the renowned Bristol Hotel in Oslo (owned by the Thon hotel chain), expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to compete in such a prestigious event. "It has taken a few years to get here, and it has been a fantastic experience and competition to be part of. Thank you very much," he said from the podium during the award ceremony.

The Norwegian team was made up of Bendi, commis Leon Haarberg Nilsen (who won the best commis award), coach Christopher W. Davidsen and team president Svein Erik Renaa. Together, they put on a fantastic performance.

Team Norway's silver medal in Bocuse d'Or 2023 is a great achievement for the country and for the team. Norway continues to prove its excellence in the culinary world and leaves a lasting impression on the international stage.

This achievement adds to Norway's already impressive record in the competition. Norway is the country with the most medals in the history of Bocuse d'Or, with five golds, three silver and four bronze medals.
