Oslo is the best of two worlds

Oslo has a lot of what a big city can offer, and it only takes half an hour and you're out in the forest.

Did you know that Oslo is surrounded by nature?
Within minutes you can be in the forest to hike, climb or bike, or ski in the winter? The Oslo region's nature is accessible and the outdoor experiences are always close, even if you’re staying in the middle of Oslo. The region offers open-air activities all year round, and you will notice that Norwegians like to take advantage of that, rain or shine.

Jan likes to take advantage of the green areas of Oslo in the mornings, as he jogs with his colleagues before work. In the video, you see him in both Frognerparken, a large park in Oslo, but also in the new development of Bjørvika close to the fjord. Regardless of where you are in the city, you are never far from nature as Oslo is known as one of the greenest cities in the world.

An active lifestyle is something that Norwegian and Norwegian companies support, and many will give you the time off to exercise, have a gym at work, or give financial support for a gym membership. Several companies are actually a part of a company sports league, where employees can play friendly competition within the company, or externally. Would you like to join a football, basketball, or maybe join a volleyball team? There are also newer sports like padel!

But Oslo is more than nature and work

If you are looking for a vibrant city with great cultural and restaurant offerings, Oslo is a great place. Some of the best restaurants in the world are in Oslo, and there are often international articles about all the things you can do in the city!
